Holly Springs, GA - You just never know where someone might want to set up a mobile golf simulator. So how about in an unfinished kitchen / great room of a new home?
Stonecrest Homes hosted an open house event for a new community they are building in Holly Springs, GA located in Cherokee County. They've partnered with nearby Woodmont Golf and Country Club to offer memberships and incentives for new homeowners. So to spruce up their event a bit they tapped Mobile Golf Events to bring in a golf simulator experience and offer free PGA lessons to their event guests. Rob Pritts, the membership director at Woodmont stated, "There's so much new homebuilding going on in the area and its great for Woodmont's membership growth. Leo was the lucky winner of a prize pack of golf gear worth over $2,600.
For the second year in a row, PGA Professional Brett Gorney and his company, Mobile Golf Events, set up their golf simulator at Hooters on Washington Road for their Masters Week Fan Fest. Yep, that's the same place where Big John Daly parks his RV all week and fans flock for photos and autographed merchandise. Golfers get to take their best shots at a series of closest to the pin contests all weeklong. Winners were crowned every few hours with prizes from Tour Striker, Bridgestone Golf, Orange Whip, Golf Gym Fitness, Rukket Sports and Cobra/Puma Golf. But the big prize comes at the end of the week as any golfer simply hitting the green in any of the contests is entered to win the grand prize pack. For Dr. Haydt.. the luck of the draw was in his favor. Brett and his team had an extra busy week this year as heavy rains cancelled play during two of the practice rounds. Gorney stated, "While I was a bit nervous with the potential for tornados, we were quite fortunate as the golf patrons packed the tents at Hooters which meant some really busy days and a lot of fun for everyone. We're looking forward to making the event bigger and better for next year!" Mobile Golf Events brings Golf Anywhere. Atlanta, GA - Porsche felt there needed to be more than one 'driving experience' at their Oktoberfest event recently held at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta. What better way to do that than bring in a golf simulator...
Over 600 people including employees, their families and invited guests were in attendance to enjoy a day of beer, brats, schnitzel, 'hot rides' on the test track and golf on the Mobile 19th Hole from Mobile Golf Events. Golfers were able to hit irons and drivers on the golf simulator as well as receive 'driving tips' and instruction from MGE's Founder and PGA Professional, Brett Gorney. He shared, "It was really cool when the event planners at Porsche contacted us to help them create a unique experience for their event. The play on words with "Driving Experience" is quite obvious, but ultimately the whole event was a blast! We were able to add a different element of fun for the golfers, non-golfers and even some of the kids on hand. Even CEO, Klaus Zellmer, was able to get in on the golf experience while his kids 'gave him the gears' for hitting a few errant shots! " Heather Turney, Porsche's Culture & Innovation Manager stated, "The golf simulator was such a huge hit! We heard a lot of people sharing how much fun it was to try and hit to the green and that the fact they could get a few pointers from a PGA Professional." Past Champoin of the Nascar Truck Series, Mike Skinner and his wife Angie hosted their 2016 Skinner Round-Up this year at the beautiful Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort up in the western North Carolina mountains. Mobile Golf Events had the privilege helping raise over $500 through the Mobile 19th Hole - Closest-to-the-Pin contest at the Round-Up event on Thursday. Then on Friday during the golf outing portion of the event, MGE founder and PGA Pro, Brett Gorney ran a "Play with the Pro" hole that raised an additional $1,100.
