Golf and God! Local church tees up some fun for dads on Father's Day!

A willing dad steps up to take his best shot on the Mobile 19th Hole @ Fusion Church

Buford, GA  -  "Only God can hit a 1-iron!"  That was a popular phrase among golfers back before the turn of the century.  Maybe that's why you don't see golf club manufacturers making 1-irons anymore?  But that didn't stop Fusion Church in Buford, GA from bringing the Mobile 19th Hole to church on Father's Day.

Pastor Tony McCollum and his staff wanted to create some last minute fun for the dads who attend Fusion Church.  A quick call to Mobile Golf Events and they were able to set up their modified simulator set up in the empty event space next door to the church.  Dad's lined up to their best shots at the closest to the pin contest for a chance to win some Yeti gear.  Wives and children cheered them on creating a PGA Tour like atmosphere...and probably a little added pressure.

​MGE's founder, Brett Gorney shared, "I loved getting the call from Pastor Tony.  I regularly attend and serve at Buckhead Church down in the city of Atlanta, so to me, its always an extra blessing to be able to serve the christian community and mix a little God and Golf together at the local church.  It really does fit our slogan of #GolfAnywhere."

Who knows?  Maybe a few more church events and a couple of extra prayers and the old 1-iron might just miraculously be resurrected!
