Milton, GA - Phil Johnson stepped up to take a swing at the Blacksheep Productions 19th Hole Par 3 Challenge during the 2016 Radical Mentoring Golf Classic. Little did he know that one swing could... taste so good!
In its sixth year, the Radical Mentoring Golf Classic sought out Mobile Golf Events to add their "19th Hole Sponsorship" opportunity to the mix of ways that companies could support their ministry and the event. Mark Bowling of Blacksheep Productions jumped on the unique sponsor slot and it was a hit with the golfers who turned out at White Columns Country Club. Golfers were given the opportunity before, during and after the round to hit two shots at the simulated par 3 hole in order to qualify for the top 5 who would shoot out for a Big Green Egg Mini Max. After the tournament was complete, those top 5 returned to take 2 more shots to determine the winner. Johnson went first in the shootout and stuffed his shot just 6 feet from the hole to claim the prize. We're sure he'll be smoking up some tasty meats on his new grill! Kevin Harris of Radical Mentoring said, "The Mobile Golf Events 19th Hole was the most successful new sponsorship we've seen in recent years. The golfers loved it and it was a great addition to our fundraising for the event." The event was hosted by John Hancock Real Estate and Concierge Services of Atlanta.
Tashe Graves from CSOA organized the event and stated, "This is the second year in a row we've done this event with Mobile Golf Events. It's such a hit for the building tenants! Brett and his team make it really fun and they do a great job with the par 3 contest and free video golf lessons."
